Starseeds

The term Starseed has been defined and interpreted in different ways by different people over the years. Indeed it is our perspective which shapes our understanding of anything in life. So an absolute definition for a term as cryptic or mysterious as Starseed seems pointless at best. There are no absolutes, there is only perception, focus, and intention. I will share with you my knowing of the term, my intuitive beliefs, and what I have come to accept through my own journey. I share this with you to help you better understand yourself in regards to your cosmic roll on Earth, however I urge you to discover your own intuitive and internal truths as well, through self-knowledge, and exploration of your psyche.

It was the very early 1990's when I discovered the term Starseed, and something within me clicked into place; finally there was a word for how I had felt since I was a very little girl. I never felt completely connected to this planet, to these systems, and people, these cultural practices and dogmas. I had always looked up into the night sky wondering... could there possibly be a home up there somewhere, a place where I "belonged"?

When I discovered the term, a lot of things quickly began to fall into place for me. I joined a Wiccan coven, and began to explore a much more esoteric side of my spirituality than I had previously known. I began to have very tangible and guided experiences, and during one such experience, a guided Shamanic Voyage with my coven, I was given a Star name. This was given to me by my High Priestess, and she said she received it from a guide surrounding me. The name was "Destra". It took me over 15 years to put the pieces together and realize that there was something missing from this name - punctuation. D'est Ra is my true Star Name - which means "Of the Sun".

Through the years that followed I delved into my study of my interstellar roots, I wanted to understand where I had come from, who I was, what my mission was here on this planet. It was confounding at times, and at other times so brilliantly gratifying. And I learned so much about myself over the following decade, so many things that sit best within my knowing, and have no place upon this page, saved perhaps for another time, another story...

I have had tangible meetings with guides, and beings from elsewhere through the years. Physical and profound contact. I have had conversations, fleeting glimpses, brushes of bodies, both physical and ethereal, and I have no doubt in my being that there is so much more to this experience of being a Starseed than I had originally thought.

The most widely accepted and understood definition of the term Starseed is a person who's soul does not originate from Earth, who has come from elsewhere in the Universe to experience life here, as a Human being. This has many interpretations and personal meanings to each individual. Some are drawn to their past life memories, wanting to understand where in the Universe their soul came from; what type of lives they lived previously away from Earth. Others are drawn to exploring who they are now as a Human, rather than focusing on a history elsewhere in the cosmos. And others still are beginning to awaken to the knowing that our roots as Starseeds may have found us originating elsewhere in the Universe, and that indeed we find ourselves here on Earth now, however we are and have always been connected to the whole of Universal life flow. A picture greater than any one particular life.

And something which is so easy to forget, and to lose sight of, is that no matter what mission we may feel we have in this incarnation, we have chosen to be here, on Earth, at this pivotal time in her history. Earth is undergoing a magnificent change, as she transcends one level of density and vibrationally ascends upwards, while physically making an axis tilt and repositioning in relation to our Sun. This is tremendous, and it is something that does not happen often in the grand scheme of things. We have chosen to be here at this time, for so many beautiful and important reasons. We are here to assist in the vibrational uplifting, to help our fellow humans adjust to the higher resonance of the new Earth/Space attunements, to be way showers, and torchbearers, healers and helpers. Some of us are here to watch and take witness. Some are here to take very public roles in helping guide humanity towards our next era of enlightenment. And many have come to simply have a front row seat to this profound moment in time; Earth is making a shift from a 3rd level of dimensional density into the 4th and 5th levels. Who would want to miss out on that?

None of Us Are Native

The term Panspermia is a scientific theory, by which some Scientists believe that no life on Earth is actually native to this planet; in effect we are all Starseeds. The theory is based on speculation that billions of years ago a comet, or asteroid, or indeed part of another planet, delivered the building blocks for life as we know it to Earth via a cataclysmic impact.

We are all from somewhere in this vast Universe, and have indeed lived other lives on other planets, in other realms, on other dimensional planes and times. We are all special and unique and loved. And we are all ultimately from the same One source originally. So as different as you may feel, as alienated as you have felt on this planet in this lifetime, as hard as it has been to witness the cruelty, starvation, poverty, political corruption, and every other negative facet of life on Earth - we are all One in our mission at this time. We are all here, together, to awaken with Earth, to bring our Galaxy into a new Age of awareness, and in fact, to play out a cosmic game which is infinite by nature. This is what we do - we evolve. Not just as individual beings, or as collective societies, or as particular planets, but as entire galaxies, nebulae, and indeed as an entire Universe. This is what Starseeds do - we Live.

How To Deal With Being a Wandering Seed

Imagine for a moment a flower or tree, letting go a seed, which is then picked up and blown away by the wind, far from it's original home. The seed is carried long distances, eventually touching down elsewhere and taking root. The seed does not spend it's days trying to get back to it's original home, wishing it could go "back" or be somewhere else. The seed understands that in this Universe everything has it's rhyme and reason, and it has been taken where it is next intended to be. So it follows it's very nature, takes root, and builds itself into the reality it now finds itself in.

This is the eventual path of all Starseeds on Earth; to accept that nature has placed us where the winds have blown us, for a reason. We are to take root, to become native as it were, and to flourish and abundantly grow.

It is also the nature of the Universe that we all have free will to choose our experiences, and perceive through our own sense of understanding and awareness. If you are a seed who has been blown to a place which does not support or nurture you, rather than dreaming listlessly of the life you wish you had, you can consciously begin to build your life around you in the way which you desire. This takes dedication and commitment, honesty and perseverance, and yet is ultimately more gratifying than a life spent wondering "what if."

We are not here to try to go back "home" again; we are here to make Home within our Hearts and share that. We are Here. Simply. Together.
